TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 8380 SUBJECT: GRB 081011: Enhanced Swift-XRT position DATE: 08/10/16 17:19:43 GMT FROM: Phil Evans at U of Leicester M.R. Goad, J.P. Osborne, A.P. Beardmore and P.A. Evans (U. Leicester) report on behalf of the Swift-XRT team. Using 12236 s of XRT Photon Counting mode data and 7 UVOT images for GRB 081011, we find an astrometrically corrected X-ray position (using the XRT-UVOT alignment and matching UVOT field sources to the USNO-B1 catalogue): RA, Dec = 220.34404, +33.54332 which is equivalent to: RA (J2000): 14h 41m 22.57s Dec (J2000): +33d 32' 35.9" with an uncertainty of 1.5 arcsec (radius, 90% confidence). This position may be improved as more data are received. The latest position can be viewed at http://www.swift.ac.uk/xrt_positions. Position enhancement is described by Goad et al. (2007, A&A, 476, 1401 http://www.swift.ac.uk/xrt_positions/Goad.pdf), the current algorithm is an extension of this method. This circular was automatically generated, and is an official product of the Swift-XRT team.
